In today's market, networking has become more important than ever.

The Agile2012 experience extends well-beyond the sessions with great special events aimed at helping you network with participants and speakers in casual, social settings.  You'll have lots of opportunities to make valuable professional contacts, catch up with colleagues, and make new friends.

First Time Attendee Orientation

If you find the conference schedule slightly overwhelming, make sure  to attend the Agile2012 Orientation Sessions. These special sessions are  designed to give first-time attendees a little "101 Guide" to  Agile2012, including insight into ways to get the most out of their  experience. There will also be a "Q & A" session at the end in case  we miss anything. There is no pre-registration required and any  registered Agile2012 attendee may attend.

Orientation is held in the Open Jam space on Sunday, August 12 at 14:00 and 17:00, and on Monday, August 13 at 8:00.

The Agile Lounge - Open daily from 9:00 to 17:00

Take a break from Agile2012 action and relax in the Agile Alliance Lounge.  Check out the activities of the organization, meet board members, enjoy a refreshing beverage, and pick up Agile Alliance swag. While you are there, inquire about ways you and your company can become more involved in the Agile community, take a look at the updated Agile Alliance roadmap, and see a new graphic banner highlighting historical events in the organization's history. You are a member - this is your professional organization - be a part of it!

Open Jam Huddle - Monday August 13th - Thusday August 17th - 8:30 - 9:00

AGILE DEVELOPMENT Lab - Monday August 13 - Thursday August 16th

Producer: Bob Payne

Donate your software development skills at Agile2012 for a great cause.
We are truly excited about this year's Agile Development Lab at Agile 2012!   This is a wonderful opportunity to participate in a real Agile project for a Not for Profit.

This year we will be building Wishlisting.org, a future website for AHIP, one of central Virginia’s oldest, most effective and most respected non-profit housing organizations.  This new website will enable AHIP donors to fund specific items and projects from family "Wishlists", and learn about the families they are helping.  We will be building this website in a general way so that other charities can also use it for similar purposes.

Join us in practice and sharing for a good cause, and engage in a truly interactive, hands-on experience.  Contribute your expertise, or learn new practices to go with new ideas. See the experts in action, get talking with fellow analysts, developers and testers, and combine your skills with new friends from other disciplines. We’ll give you guided walkthroughs, clear instructions and helpful explanations.  If you’re inspired to give us a lighting talk, the floor is yours!

See you in the Code Lab at Agile2012!
The lab will be open Monday, Aug. 13 - Thursday, Aug. 16th
